WASHINGTON -- In his first major test of international leadership, President Barack Obama is struggling for the right stance in the face of Iran's postelection upheaval as political opponents at home accuse him of inaction.

Obama is correct in his approach. The U.S. has no business interfering at all with Iran. No doubt the CIA and Israel have had plenty to do with the street unrest, though. Imagine two losers like Sen Fred Thompson, the Tennessee Dud of presidential campaign fame, and William Bennett, the extreme gambler and GOP moral authority of America, as supported and promoted by the Bush/Cheney Fox channel, actually criticizing Obama for being sensible. This is the best his opponents can come up with. Hopefully he will have the courage to maintain his convictions.
